CBI ARRESTS A DIRECTOR (FINANCE),
NATIONAL JUTE MANUFACTURERS CORPORATION LTD IN A BRIBERY CASE |
25-6-2014 : The
Central Bureau of Investigation has arrested a Director (Finance), National
Jute Manufacturers Corporation Ltd., Kolkata for demanding & accepting a
bribe of Rs.10,000/- from the Complainant.
A case
was registered against Director (Finance), National Jute Manufacturers
Corporation Ltd, Kolkata on the allegations that the accused had demanded &
agreed to accept an illegal gratification of Rs.10,000/- from the Proprietor of
a Kolkata based business concern for processing the bills regarding the repair
of jute machines and the release of the Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) of the
business concern.
CBI laid
a trap and caught the accused red handed in his office in Kolkata, while
demanding & accepting the bribe of Rs.10,000/- from the Complainant.
Searches were conducted in the office and residential premises of the accused.
The arrested accused will be produced
today before the Designated Court at Kolkata. Further investigation is
continuing.
